6 Steps to Hypnotize Yourself to Lose Weight

1. Deep Breathing and Relaxation

Focus on your breathing and nothing else. This will help to clear you mind and prepare you to enter a state of heightened concentration effectively.
Then, take yourself to a calm, relaxed safe place. It can be a beach, somewhere by the waterfall, your garden, wherever you feel comfortable. Use all your senses and imagine yourself being there. For example, if you are at the beach, look at how blue is the water, hear the sound of the waves, smell the saltiness of the ocean, feel the wind on your skin, etc. Just enjoy the experience while you are being there.
2. Envision Your Best Body Shape
To lose weight, you need to get the mind a very clear image of how you want to be, how much kilos and size you like to get down to? Envision yourself fitting in the clothes or dress that you always want to wear. How do you want to look like when you reach your ideal weight? What do you see yourself doing when you are at your perfect weight? What are you hearing from other people say to you when you look awesome? Feel the feelings you want to feel, e.g. lighter, confident, happy, in harmony, at peace, etc. Immerse every aspect of yourself in the imagined experience.
Picture that in your mind and focus on that. This will make your brain want to achieve that picture. Have this image so clear in your mind.
3. Hypnotize to Change Perceptions
Hypnosis is all about changing perceptions. If your mind keeps going, “It’s too hard for me, I can never lose weight, I don’t like my body”…then you will only feel despair. So now, with hypnosis, you can change how you think and feel about yourself, your body, food, wine, exercise with positive suggestions, so as to help you to achieve your weight loss goal.
Positive suggestions are what you like to say to yourself. First, re-affirm yourself the reason of why you want to lose weight. What you will achieve exactly when you lose the kilos you wish to lose? Then, come up with some positive self affirmations, you can cover how you want your healthy lifestyle to be, how you want to take care of your body, how you like to relief stress instead of overeating, and love exercises. Here’s an example:
“From now on, I love and respect my body, I take good care of my body. And I choose to eat only healthy food when my body needs it. I love the exercise more and more; I can feel my body really loves it”.
Play this positive inner talk over and over in your head. Visualize how you want to be, to act, to feel, to think as a slim person, and feel excited that you are getting there. Repeat until the positive affirmations become a part of you. Remember to get in touch with your feelings that you want!
4. A Belief that You Can
Keep in mind that hypnosis depends on the power of your belief. You need to believe that you can influence your subconscious, the boss of your mind to lose weight. If your belief isn’t strong enough, the hypnosis won’t work.
5. Reorient Yourself
When you finish hypnosis, count from 1 to 5 to reorient yourself back, gradually return to your normal state of consciousness by the time you reach five. Become aware of the room around you. The sounds and smells. Feeling motivated, confident of success.
6. Repetition Makes Perfect
You will need to regularly hypnotize yourself to reprogram your brain, reinforce the suggestions that you give to yourself over and over, so that your brain rewires the way that you want and eliminate negative beliefs and habits that you find detrimental.
